Please pray for Joy Stender. She has had a very rough day. They have her on pain meds but still the pain has been almost unbearable all day with no relief. Pray too for Karen D. who is taking care of her. Pray for relief and strength.

She's had a few bumps, but she is improving each day.
The Dr. is talking about possibly releasing her this Fri. from the hospital.
Thanks for continuing to pray for her and her family.

Praises:
She and Karen had a better, more restful night.
Today she's starting clear liquids and getting to shower.
Her tests don't show any infection.
Request:
Joy will continue to heal.
They both will get some good rest.
5/2 -Joy Stender has come through the surgery well. The doctor's initial report is that all went well and she is in recovery.
4/30 -Please pray for Joy Stender. Her surgery is going to be much more serious than originally thought. She is scheduled for surgery on Friday - May 2 at 10 AM. Then she will have to be in the hospital for a couple weeks (barring complications) and then have to stay in Texas for another couple of weeks so the doctor can make sure all is healing properly. Once she gets home she will have to be off work for an extended period of time. So pray for peace and that all would go well in the surgery. Also, pray for their financial needs during this time. Curt is flying down on Friday and then him and John will be driving back on Sunday because of jobs. Karen will be staying with Joy for the duration. Instead of flowers it would be better to help them financially. If you want to send a card you can send it to their home address...

4/29 - She went to the dr. today. The tear was much bigger than the dr. suspected. Therefore she'll have pre-op preparations tomorrow. Please pray that will go well as they have trouble with her veins.
Her surgery will be some time on Fri. and will be more extensive than anticipated.
We are checking about her address.
Please pray for spiritual encouragement for Joy and her family and the Dr. will be guided by the Lord.
